Leakguard cPVC Solvent Welding Compound is a yellow-colored, medium-bodied cPVC solvent welding
compound used for joining cPVC pipes & fittings. It is recommended for potable water piping as well as
pressurized pipes.
It can withstand temperatures up to 82°Cand can be used without a Primer.

Best for  cpvc pipes & fittings in plumbing,potable water & industrial use.Specially formulated heavy duty  cPVC solvent welding compound.

Application Instances

Stir or Shake well before use.
Cut the pipe square & remove all burrs. Clean & dry joining surfaces.Check dry fit of pipe & fitting. Pipe should go in easily but become tight about 1/3 to 2/3 of the way into fitting

Apply even coat of S.W. Compound on pipe up to socket depth, also coat the fitting socket with a medium layer. Avoid excess and puddling. Apply a second, full layer on pipe. Assemble parts quickly, while the S.W. Compound is wet. If not wet, recoat parts before assembly. Push pipe fully into fitting & twist 1/8 to 1/4 turn until reaching pipe stop. Hold for 30 seconds to prevent pipe push-out. Wipe off excess.

Allow 2 mins. for good handling strength & 1 hr. cure time for cold water systems up to 160 psi (11.3 kg/cm2) & 6 hrs. for hot water systems 100 psi (7.0 kg/cm3) maximum, 82oC. Longer curing time needed for pipe sizes over 2, higher pressure or temperature below 16°C. DO NOT TEST WITH COMPRESSED AIR.
